This sweetbox is crafted from high-quality Spanish white clay by skilled artisans. Each piece goes through a multi-stage process: hand-forming, drying, first firing, glazing, and final firing. The result is not just a beautiful piece, but also a durable and practical item.
The sweetbox features features the Jraberd (Gardman) carpet patterns characteristic of the historic Gardman province. These ancient ornamental designs are distinguished by their complex geometric patterns and deep symbolism, reflecting the rich cultural heritage of the region. The original embroidered carpet that inspired this design, dating back to the 17th century, is preserved in the treasury of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin.
