This sweetbox is crafted from high-quality Spanish white clay by skilled artisans. Each piece goes through a multi-stage process: hand-forming, drying, first firing, glazing, and final firing. The result is not just a beautiful piece, but also a durable and practical item.
The sweetbox features the Crown (Tag) carpet pattern, a significant design from the historic village of Avetaranots in Varanda. This geometric pattern represents the Melik-Shahnazarian family’s “Bird’s Nest” ancestral symbol. The traditional motif is displayed in vibrant red and beige against a soothing blue background, with the central star design radiating outward in a harmonious composition.
